So... I've come to realise time doesn't heal all wounds. But I think it helps you get used to them; and maybe even love & appreciate them, if you can get there mentally! I think if the love's real, it's unconditional. It doesn't go away. But the pain? The pain does, thankfully (for the most part!)
It goes away eventually - and you're left with a mostly comfortable tingling sensation. That's where I am these days. And I'm ok with that.
